The romance between Stella and Oliver was a bit hit or miss for me mainly because it was insta-love. There were some angst filled moments in the book, mainly to do with this romance, but all came out alright in the end. I've previously read Novak's other book, My Life with the Walter Boys, and My Life with the Walter Boys is definitely my favorite of the two.I actually really want to read the sequel to My life with the Walter Boys.

The characters were all interesting in the own way a bit flat but still enjoyable to read about.the main character is filled with angst, sarcasm and she's a bit of a snob. Stella for me is one of those characters that I liked and then at times she bugged the heck out of me. She wasn't very likable but at times I could see were she was a bit relate-able. Oliver seemed nice, and kinda troubled I really enjoyed his dynamic with his fellow band mates.I thought the book was going to focus on Cara and her cancer a bit more, but there are only a few chapters that mention her/her cancer.With this being said Cara is very relevant to the plot and causes some major plot twists.Cara was a sweet charector and I enjoyed her and her siblings interactions.

The cover is definitely eye catching and the scene depicted is  intriguing.I definitely think it fits the story. Overall The Heartbreakers was a really cute read  it's pretty predictable but still worth reading. 3/5

Review:Bound Together

Though she’s been explicitly clear she’s using him for one thing, whenever Matt picks her up, he acts more like it’s a date-date rather than a backseat playdate –making sure she has eaten, or stopping to color with her little sister before they go out. Despite her best efforts at keeping their arrangement physical only, Zoey begins to realize – with fear and disgust – that she’s falling for him. When things fall apart with her mom, letting Matt see her real life takes more courage than she has – but if she’s brave enough to let him, he might be just the one person who can help.

So I have just reread bound together and I'm glad i did.I forgot how much I enjoyed this book. Zoey has it tough from school work to taking care of the house and her younger siblings.Deciding she needs space and to see if her family can survive without here just in case she goes to college she goes abroad to Paris for a class trip.That's were things get interesting starting with Matt as her partner.

The characters were well written and I liked that Matt and Zoey seemed so real.There was no insta-love it was gradual and adorable filled with plenty of snark.I enjoyed the character development a lot and i liked how the character from the main ones o secondary stood out and seem genuine.

The cover is lovely and sums up Zoey &Matt nicely. Occasionally the plot dragged but eventually you were pulled back in to the book.I'd definitely recommend this to someone needing a calm ya romance type book.3/5

Celeste, Matt’s little sister was beyond her years smart, loveable, but socially awkward in Flat-Out Love. Celeste, as well as the rest of the family were on the verge of a total meltdown after suffering an unimaginable loss. Julie (Matt’s love interest) was instrumental in their road to healing and in the years that have since past, the Watkins family has made many positive strides. 

 
Celeste is now 18 years old and she is a senior in high school. After years of being isolated, socially awkward, and feeling that she will never fit somewhere. Suddenly she meets Justin who is as weird as she is!!!Celeste was relatable in her quirkiness and still was a remarkable character. I liked seeing her progress as the story went on to a more confident girl. Reading about Celeste navigating high school and making friends ships with people instead of staying closed off was awesome. The same goes with her encounters with Justin, they are just the sweetest. Justin Milano is a student liaison for Barton College who contacts Celeste through several rambling emails trying to woo her to attend his school. Through the emails Celeste and Justin develop a friendship.   The characters were never flat and seemed like people you would want to be around. I liked that the author gave us a glimpses of what happened with Matt & Julie and their story was still fresh and slightly adorable.

The cover is absolutely gorgeous and while it has a different look than the covers for Flat-Out-Love and Flat-Out-Mat it still has the hinges in the title which is super cute. The story/plot defiantly drew me in and is more than likely to intrigue anyone who has read Flat-Out Matt or even anyone who has not.4/5

Breaking Up is Easy To Do

 Breaking up is easy to do it's getting over someone that can be tough.

All day Ive been listening to music working on a paper and I keep going back to the song Crossroads (I Guess You Can Say Things Are Getting Pretty Serious) by Forever the Sickest Kids. I've literally just sat here with that song on repeat for the longest so I decided to write a post relating to it.

People do crazy things after a breaking up some girls(and guys) cut off all their hairs,some write long winded letters they never send(a few actually send the letters),and some go temporarily crazy. No matter what you do this books will distract you a little bit and hell maybe give you ideas on how to move on. ; )

Two bottle caps, a movie ticket, a folded note, a box of matches, a protractor, books, a toy truck, a pair of ugly earrings, a comb from a motel room, and every other item collected over the course of a giddy, intimate, heartbreaking relationship. Item after item is illustrated and accounted for, and then the box, like a girlfriend, will be dumped.

Great book it was such a honest sweet read.Why We Broke up was quirky,sweet and at certain parts made me cry.5/5 At some point i'll write an actual review.Promise.

 Title:instructions for a broken heart

What better way to get over you cheating ex than going to Italy and checking out the culture & maybe the guys.Just finished reading this a few days ago and would highly recommend this book.

 I have yet to read this book but I hear good things.

My Thoughts:This wasn't my usual type of read but it was enjoyable none the less.Some time i like a book about a bad boy falling head over for his girl, this book was just that and I was sold.... Things you'll find while reading  Loads of  Angst.Check  Hot man whore lead singer.Check. Infuriating couple who can't get it together.Check Sexual tension - check *swoon* S i know i this is not the best review but don't let that stop you from checking it out.You won't regret it.3/5

Riley soon finds out rock bands have a different dynamic than marching bands, especially when each of her male band mates has a major ego and is a major player. Two of them relentlessly flirt with her. The other—a dark, sexy rock god she can’t help being attracted to— is a total jerk and pushes her to quit. She becomes determined to ignore his rudeness and his hotness. Even if she was interested in jerks, a hook up would probably get her booted out of the ego-ridden band, and playing keeps her sane. Behind the drums, the world and its troubles evaporate.

If she wants to stay in the band, Riley needs to ignore the growing sparks between her and her band enemy. But as she gets to know the man behind the stage persona, ignoring him proves to be more difficult than flowing through a time sig shift.
The Cover:Maybe it's just me but i didn't like the cover.I would have found it awesome if it had a female drummer on the cover since that's not something you see on a book cover very often or ever really....
My thoughts : Riley Middleton has given up a percussion scholarship out of state, made the choice to attend the local college while living at home, and pretty much singlehandedly runs the household. Romeo is the bad boy guitarist who surprise surprise has a heart of gold.I adore Riley and Romeo  together they have so much chemistry and sexual tension and are two interesting characters.This book was hit or miss for me but towards the middle i changed my mine.So give it a shot maybe you might like it too. 2/5

The Cannibal Fiend of Rotherhithe by Frewin Jones - Silka is a young lady (if you could call her that) who lives with a man who kidnapped her mother.  She goes to London to seek her true love. This story was one of my top 3 favorite stories from this book. It was dark,edgy and a bit disturbing.

Wild Magic by Ann Aguirre - Pearl Magnus is part of a very strong line of important lords and such. However, she has the ability to perform magic. She buys a picture of a rough looking boy and that's were her life starts to change.It's a love story full of surprises. I thought this one was incredibly sweet and like all good short stories it ended to soon.

Deadwood by Michael Scott - Scott's short story is by far the least romantic. Martha and JW meet on a plane of some sort and when it stops in a strange town it up too them to save everyone. Despite the fact that it wasn't the most romantic story this was one of my favorites.

Code of Blood by Dru Pagliassotti - This short story is set in Italy when the French invade. She meets Pietro who is an appretince to an alchemist. Both Chiara and Pietro are elementals. They control their own elementals. The story is of how Chiara rescues her country and falls in love.

The Clockwork Corest by Adrienne Kress - Imogen is a young girl who was rasied by her father who treated her like a boy untill she was a teen.Her best friend is Rafe, who is an orphan who lives as an apprentice in Imogen's home to a clock winder. Imogen and Rafe vow to never grow up, but that doesn't stop time.. This short story reminded me alot of  Disney's Mulan.


Under Amber Skies by Maria V. Snyder - Betrayal is the worst sort, especially from your own parents. Zosia experiences betrayal from her mother. Set in Northern Poland during World War II.I didnt know what i was expecting when i read this story but the ending was intense.


Tick, Tick, Boom by Kiersten White -Favorite story about a girl who does not believe in what her father does and she just wants to build her bombs to sabotage her father's factories and avoid her fathers favorite suitor Franklin whos just a snob  little does she know they may have more in common then she thought. :)

The other stories in the book are just as good but the ones above are the ones i really enjoyed.


The cover is what drew me its gorgeous with a lovely girl and gears and things around her face.I honestly had no idea what steampunk was so if your like me who didn't have a clue then i would recommend this book to get an intro to the genre. 3/5

Twenty Boy Summer

According to her best friend Frankie, twenty days in ZanzibarBay is the perfect opportunity to have a summer fling, and if they meet one boy ever day, there's a pretty good chance Anna will find her first summer romance. Anna lightheartedly agrees to the game, but there's something she hasn't told Frankie—-she's already had that kind of romance, and it was with Frankie's older brother, Matt, just before his tragic death one year ago.


I heard about this book before but i never really gave it a second thought but then i read Fixing Delilah by Sarah Ockler and i figured I'd give Twenty Boy Summer a shot.I have to say I'm definitely glad i decide to read this book.
The cover is cute and sweet and i honesty didn't realize that the pieces of the heart were supposed to represent sea glass till almost the end, I thought they were bits of paper or post-its.

The story revoles around  Anna and Frankie.I absolutely loved both characters.Frankie's was  spunky,flirty but still fragile.Then there was Anna the narrator who was in love with Matt and had a brief relationship with him before he died but never told a soul, which is completely heartbreaking i definently could never hold something like that in for so long.Matt wasn't alive for much of the story but Matt's presence through memories and flashbacks lets you know him just as well as Frankie or Anna.

Anna and Frankie have practically grown up together and share everything with one another. Except for the fact that Anna has always been in love with Frankie’s brother Matt.So on the day of  Anna's fifteen birthday Matt and her share a kiss;after that they start up a secret relationship they don't want to hide it but Matt's worried about what Frankie's his little sister will say so they promise to keep it a secret till the summer.Matt's supposed to tell Frankie when they go on vacation for the summer but then Matt dies before they can reveal the truth.

Just one year later the girls are going out to the beach house were Frankie and Matts family always went to this is the fist time since Matt died.Frankie thinks they should have a twenty buy summer Anna agrees but is still in love with Matt she doesn't think she can move on.

I honestly didn't expect this book to be so heart breaking beautiful.This book made me laugh,cry,laugh then cry a little more.When Anna accepted the idea of the Twenty Boy summer i wanted to hit her i thought she should have just told Frankie then and there but I'm glad she didn't.Cause i she didn't she would have never met Sam.I adore Sam's character and how he helped Anna but i wish  there was a bit more dialogue between the two of them. 

Whether the secret finally does come out, well, I’ll let you read and discover that for yourself.I would recommend this book to any one teens or adults. The book is adorable and tragic its all about the meaning of friendship, grief and forgiveness.I cant believe i put off reading this book for so long. 5/5
