 *Sigh* Until I can embark on my own road I have to experience it though movies and books. I love road tripping books so when I saw Reunited I had to read it plus the whole concept of past friends road tripping intrigued me. Reunited is about three high-school grads who at one point were all best friends. One awesome pea green,a VW bus and a semi awkward road-trip to Austin to see their favorite band Level3 reunited for a surprise concert.

Three super cliche sounding girls Alice(Book worm/Nerd),Summer(Popular girl with shocking depth) and Tieran(Wild child with mommy issues) were once best friends now a few years after their friendship crumbled their reuniting. Thanks to Alice to go see Level3 their fav band that broke up and now reuniting for one concert. Once leaving their home town hilarity begins filled with multiple ups and downs.

The cover is really eye catching and immediately made me pick up the book. It's bright yellow and I can easily picture the girls studying the map looking forward for adventure. I liked the story at first but then I didn't but then I did again so my thoughts on Reunited are complicated. While it didn't reach my expectation I did enjoy the story and really enjoyed the Level3 lyrics scattered throughout the book between chapters. As well as the hilarious one liners that pop out unexpectedly. So to sum it all up Yes Reunited is cliché and might make you cringe every now but the underlining theme is friendship and the love of music so if you want a fun read thats fluff with heart I’d recommend this book3/5

I cant wait to read this!!I'm a huge fan of books about road trips plus it sounds like it may be a slight tearjerker.

Amy and Roger's Epic Detour

Told in traditional narrative as well as scraps from the road--diner napkins, motel receipts, postcards--this is the story of one girl's journey to find herself.

"Tomorrow will be better.” “But what if it’s not?” I asked. “Then you say it again tomorrow. Because it might be. You never know, right? At some point, tomorrow will be better."

the qoute above is but one af my many favorite lines in the book,so i felt like sharing it.I admit it that I adore most any book with the concept of road tripping.I have never been on a road trip my self but i cant wait for when the time comes that i do.

The cover is lovely it has a soft summer feel too it, i also like the hand holding on the road with the couple looking out in the unknown.

Despite the serious issues it addresses, it was never a downer type book but it was a bit  bittersweet at times and also quiky and sweet.Amy's life has been going downhill lately... her brother is in rehab, her father died in a car crash and now her mum has decided that its time for a change and her and Amy should move to Connecticut. The only issue is  Amy refuses to drive after her fathers death so her mum finds a local boy that Amy heading out in the same direction its then revealed that Amys not the only one with some extra baggage.

I love their characters and how Amy and Roger interacted with each other I was like waiting the whole time for them to be together and when they did- Adorable! Not to mention, I also liked the side-characters, the people they meet during the detour.Unlike in some road triping books the side characters are not all that important but i liked the fact that they made Amy and Rogers Epic Detour exciting and inspiring.I especially liked Lenard,Bronwyn and Lucien and Lucien's moose ;]

The story for me was a bit predictable but that doesn't take away from the fact that i enjoyed the story.Being a music lover like most people i found the Playlist part of the book excellent and im sure im not the only one who searched for a few of the songs mentioned.

 The book quickly became a favorite it the sweet summer type read i love to read laying out on the beach or in my backyard.4/5

Road Trip

So earlier today i was listening to the song Kids in Love by Mayday Parade the song to me is a great summer song about being care free and young.I was curios about the music video so i  looked the video up it's about four friends going on a Road Trip.This got me thinking about all the great books that revolve around taking a Road Trip,so I decided to create a short list Summer Read about Road Tripping.

This is the ideal summer read it so cute.I adore the play-lists and how much Amy grows throughout the book.

Maybe it was wrong, or maybe impossible, but I wanted the truth to be one thing. One solid thing.

This isn't really a light Summer read but i felt like it had to go on this list.Crash into Me is a dark,funny,has a bit of romance and Lots of Drama.
