Title:The Pledge, Author:Kimberly Derting Release Date: November 15,2011
Words are the most dangerous weapon of all...
In the violent country of Ludania, the classes are strictly divided by the language they speak. The smallest transgression, like looking a member of a higher class in the eye while they are speaking their native tongue, results in immediate execution. Seventeen-year-old Charlaina has always been able to understand the languages of all classes, and she’s spent her life trying to hide her secret. The only place she can really be free is the drug-fueled underground clubs where people go to shake off the oppressive rules of the world they live in. It's there that she meets a beautiful and mysterious boy named Max who speaks a language she's never heard before . . . and her secret is almost exposed.
Charlie is intensely attracted to Max, even though she can’t be sure where his real loyalties lie. As the emergency drills give way to real crisis and the violence escalates, it becomes clear that Charlie is the key to something much bigger: her country’s only chance for freedom from the terrible power of a deadly regime.
I've just heard about this book im glad i did,it sounds pretty good. Ever sense the Hunger Games Series its seems like dystopian books are popping up all over the place I'm definitely happy about this but i hope they dont over do it like how the whole vampire thing got after Twilight.

Title: Fall for Anything Author:Courtney Summers Publisher: St. Martin's Griffin; Reprint edition Published:December 21, 2010
Read for Contemps Challenge
From the author of Cracked Up to Be and Some Girls Are comes a gripping story about one girl’s search for clues into the mysterious death of her father.
When Eddie Reeves’s father commits suicide her life is consumed by the nagging question of why? Why when he was a legendary photographer and a brilliant teacher? Why when he seemed to find inspiration in everything he saw? And, most important, why when he had a daughter who loved him more than anyone else in the world?
When she meets Culler Evans, a former student of her father’s and a photographer himself, an instant and dangerous attraction begins. Culler seems to know more about her father than she does and could possibly hold the key to the mystery surrounding his death. But Eddie’s vulnerability has weakened her and Culler Evans is getting too close. Her need for the truth keeps her hanging on...but are some questions better left unanswered?
So I’ll admit it I have heard of Fall for Anything before but I really wasn’t that excited to read it and honestly if it wasn’t for it being on the Contemps Challenge I don’t think I would have read the book at all.
I absolutely love the cover its what drew me in, the girl on the cover looks sad or in thought its quite lovely.I like the photographs in the background it ties in nicely with the story.
Eddie Reeves' father committed suicide, but she doesn't know why no one really does. There seems to be no reason - he was a famous artist , a talented photographer, and had a loving family, most importantly her his daughter. Shes obsessed with the why. Her moms extremely depressed so her best friend Beth helps them out, Beth and Eddie don’t get along. Her best friend, Milo, is always there for her they been friends for the longest. While still in despair about her dad grief Eddie meets Culler, his former student. They form a dangerous attraction and embark on a mission to piece together the broken picture of her father's death.
Her best friend, Milo, is always there for her, perhaps in more ways than Eddie realizes. I liked Milo’s character he was sweet and just wanted what’s best for Eddie. Then theres Culler this dark older mysteries stranger who seems to know a bit more about Eddies dad then she does.Milo is a comfort hes reliable, Culler is new and has a secret. Both care for Eddie.
So I'm kind of on the fence about how I feel about this book I read Courtney Summers’s other book Some Girls Are and I really enjoyed that book despite the subject matter of bulling/mean girls .So I starting reading Fall for Anything excepting to like this book just as much the other but I just don’t feel the same way.
The book was on such a raw topics its all about the aftermath of a suicide and how it affects every close to you. Despite the fact that I wasn’t crazy about the book it was defiantly moving and a decent read 3/5

Title: Ditched: A Love Story Author: Robin Mellom Release Date: Januray 10,2012
High school senior Justina Griffith was never the girl who dreamed of going to prom. Designer dresses and strappy heels? Not her thing. So she never expected her best friend, Ian Clark, to ask her.
Ian, who always passed her the baseball bat handle first.
Ian, who knew exactly when she needed red licorice.
Ian, who promised her the most amazing night at prom.
And then ditched her.
Now, as the sun rises over her small town, and with only the help of some opinionated ladies at the 7-Eleven, Justina must piece together – stain by stain on her thrift-store dress – exactly how she ended up dateless. A three-legged Chihuahua was involved. Along with a demolition derby-ready Cadillac. And there was that incident at the tattoo parlor. Plus the flying leap from Brian Sontag’s moving car…
But to get the whole story, Justina will have to face the boy who ditched her. And discover if losing out at prom can ultimately lead to true love.
This sounds adorable it reminds me of a John Hughes movie or that Mtv movie that just came out a while ago Worst Prom Ever.I can't wait to read this it sounds sweet and quirky.

Title: Twenty Boy Summer Author: Sarah Ockler Publisher: Little, Brown Books Published:June 1, 2009
"Don't worry, Anna. I'll tell her, okay? Just let me think about the best way to do it." "Okay." "Promise me? Promise you won't say anything?" "Don't worry." I laughed. "It's our secret, right?"
According to her best friend Frankie, twenty days in ZanzibarBay is the perfect opportunity to have a summer fling, and if they meet one boy ever day, there's a pretty good chance Anna will find her first summer romance. Anna lightheartedly agrees to the game, but there's something she hasn't told Frankie—-she's already had that kind of romance, and it was with Frankie's older brother, Matt, just before his tragic death one year ago.
I heard about this book before but i never really gave it a second thought but then i read Fixing Delilah by Sarah Ockler and i figured I'd give Twenty Boy Summer a shot.I have to say I'm definitely glad i decide to read this book.
The cover is cute and sweet and i honesty didn't realize that the pieces of the heart were supposed to represent sea glass till almost the end, I thought they were bits of paper or post-its.
The story revoles around Anna and Frankie.I absolutely loved both characters.Frankie's was spunky, flirty but still fragile. Then there was Anna the narrator who was in love with Matt and had a brief relationship with him before he died but never told a soul, which is completely heartbreaking i definently could never hold something like that in for so long.Matt wasn't alive for much of the story but Matt's presence through memories and flashbacks lets you know him just as well as Frankie or Anna.
Anna and Frankie have practically grown up together and share everything with one another. Except for the fact that Anna has always been in love with Frankie’s brother Matt.So on the day of Anna's fifteen birthday Matt and her share a kiss;after that they start up a secret relationship they don't want to hide it but Matt's worried about what Frankie's his little sister will say so they promise to keep it a secret till the summer.Matt's supposed to tell Frankie when they go on vacation for the summer but then Matt dies before they can reveal the truth.
Just one year later the girls are going out to the beach house were Frankie and Matts family always went to this is the fist time since Matt died.Frankie thinks they should have a twenty buy summer Anna agrees but is still in love with Matt she doesn't think she can move on.
I honestly didn't expect this book to be so heart breaking beautiful. This book made me laugh, cry, laugh then cry a little more. When Anna accepted the idea of the Twenty Boy summer i wanted to hit her i thought she should have just told Frankie then and there but I'm glad she didn't.Cause i she didn't she would have never met Sam.I adore Sam's character and how he helped Anna but i wish there was a bit more dialogue between the two of them.
Whether the secret finally does come out, well, I’ll let you read and discover that for yourself.I would recommend this book to any one teens or adults. The book is adorable and tragic its all about the meaning of friendship, grief and forgiveness.I cant believe i put off reading this book for so long. 5/5
Title:The Duff Author:Kody Keplinger Publisher: Poppy Published Sept 7,2010
Read for the contemps challenge
Seventeen-year-old Bianca Piper is cynical and loyal, and she doesn't think she's the prettiest of her friends by a long shot. She's also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush. In fact, Bianca hates him. And when he nicknames her "Duffy," she throws her Coke in his face.
But things aren't so great at home right now. Desperate for a distraction, Bianca ends up kissing Wesley. And likes it. Eager for escape, she throws herself into a closeted enemies-with-benefits relationship with Wesley.
Until it all goes horribly awry. It turns out that Wesley isn't such a bad listener, and his life is pretty screwed up, too. Suddenly Bianca realizes with absolute horror that she's falling for the guy she thought she hated more than anyone.
********************************
The cover in my option is cute and quirky,Its featuring a average looking teen girl which ties in perfectly with the story.
It all starts with Bianca the narrator of the book just hanging with her friends Casey and Jessica at the teen hangout The Nest, then were introduced to Wesley Rush. That's when the word Duff( Designated Ugly Fat Friend) is introduced.Wesley's theory is that every group of girls has a Duff in it, to make themselves look better. Bianca hurt and pissed she reacts by throwing her soda in his face and storming out of the club. After Bianca first hears that word she constantly thinks about how she looks and ponders about what makes a Duff.
Bianca deals with self esteem issues, divorce, keeping secrets from her best friends, and her causal fling with Wesley
I like the fact that Bianca the narrator and main character is this smart ass no nonsense chick who's kinda the self proclaimed protector of her friends.I didn't like the fact that at first she seems snobby like shes better then her friends and the rest of her peers. Then there is Wesley who's the ladies man sleeps with any thing that moves.I really didn't get his appeal other then the fact that he was good looking, but towards the ends i started to like him just a little bit more.
All in all i would recommend this book to any one who likes witty one-liners and friends with benefits.3/5
So earlier today i was listening to the song Kids in Love by Mayday Parade the song to me is a great summer song about being care free and young.I was curios about the music video so i looked the video up it's about four friends going on a Road Trip. This got me thinking about all the great books that revolve around taking a Road Trip,so I decided to create a short list Summer Read about Road Tripping.
Title: Amy and Rogers Epic Detour Author: Morgan Matson
Amy Curry thinks her life sucks. Her mom decides to move from California to Connecticut to start anew--just in time for Amy's senior year. Her dad recently died in a car accident. So Amy embarks on a road trip to escape from it all, driving cross-country from the home she's always known toward her new life. Joining Amy on the road trip is Roger, the son of Amy's mother's old friend. Amy hasn't seen him in years, and she is less than thrilled to be driving across the country with a guy she barely knows. So she's surprised to find that she is developing a crush on him.
At the same time, she's coming to terms with her father's death and how to put her own life back together after the accident. Told in traditional narrative as well as scraps from the road--diner napkins, motel receipts, postcards
This is the ideal summer read it so cute.I adore the play-lists and how much Amy grows throughout the book.
Maybe it was wrong, or maybe impossible, but I wanted the truth to be one thing. One solid thing.
Quinn is surrounded by women who have had their hearts broken. Between her mother, her aunt, and her grandmother, Quinn hears nothing but cautionary tales. She tries to be an optimist–after all, she’s the dependable one, the girl who never makes foolish choices. But when she is abruptly and unceremoniously dumped, Quinn starts to think maybe there are no good men after all.
It doesn’t help that she’s gingerly handling a renewed relationship with her formerly absent father. He’s a little bit of a lot of things: charming, selfish, eccentric, lazy…but he’s her dad, and Quinn’s just happy to have him around again. Until she realizes how horribly he’s treated the many women in his life, how he’s stolen more than just their hearts.
Determined to, for once, take action in her life, Quinn joins forces with the stepsister she’s never met and the little sister she’ll do anything to protect. Together, they set out to right her father’s wrongs…and in doing so, begin to uncover what they’re really looking for: the truth. The story of one girl's journey to find herself.
Road trip filled new discoveries, hot guy,and a qeust to rights past wrongs whats not to love.
Title: Crash Into Me Author: Albert borris
Owen, Frank, Audrey, and Jin-Ae have one thing in common: they all want to die. When they meet online after each attempts suicide and fails, the four teens make a deadly pact: they will escape together on a summer road trip to visit the sites of celebrity suicides...and at their final destination, they will all end their lives.
As they drive cross-country, bonding over their dark impulses, sharing their deepest secrets and desires, living it up, hooking up, and becoming true friends, each must decide whether life is worth living—or if there's no turning back.
This isn't really a light Summer read but i felt like it had to go on this list.Crash into Me is a dark, funny, has a bit of romance and Lots of Drama.
Title:Two way Street Author: Lauren Barnholdt
There are two sides to every breakup.
This is Jordan and Courtney, totally in love. Sure, they were an unlikely high school couple. But they clicked; it worked. They’re even going to the same college, and driving cross-country together for orientation.
Then Jordan dumps Courtney — for a girl he met on the Internet.
It’s too late to change plans, so the road trip is on. Courtney’s heartbroken, but figures she can tough it out for a few days. La la la — this is Courtney pretending not to care.
But in a strange twist, Jordan cares. A lot.
Turns out, he’s got a secret or two that he’s not telling Courtney. And it has everything to do with why they broke up, why they can’t get back together, and how, in spite of it all, this couple is destined for each other.
So heres the song that got me thinking about Road Trips.I was going to put up the official music video but i decided not to because its a bit raunchy.I highly suggest you check it out, there a censored and non censored video.

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.
During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her.
dystopian thrillers filled with electrifying decisions, heartbreaking betrayals, stunning consequences, and unexpected romance.
Gaaa!! I'm in love with dystopian story's so when i found out about this book i was all excited plus it takes place in my home town.(Woot Woo Chi-town) I think the cover is extremely lovely i just adore the skyline in the background plus the flaming symbol.
The main character is Beatrice Prior AKA Tris she is a member of a society that has been maintaining its peaceful existence by separating its citizens into 5 distinct factions. These factions are formed on the basis of virtues they cultivate in their members - Candor values honesty the most, Abnegation - selflessness, Dauntless - bravery, Amity - peacefulness and Erudite - intelligence She has to chose between all five and I'm not going to lie i would chose between Candor or Amity.
At 16 all citizens take a test that is supposed to help them decide if they want to stay with the faction into which they were born or transfer to another faction forever.Right before the choosing ceremony they take a test to help them decide Beatrice's test comes up inconclusive he has no idea what this means and she cant talk about it with any on so now shes even more confused. She ends up picking dauntless in stead of abnegation and has to leave everything shes once known behind.Though out the book she goes though her intuition to become dauntless. She picks up some friends along the way plus a enemy or two and a confusing love interest. I would definitely suggest this book to any one who's interested in an a wonderful dystopian book that contains loads of action, slow romance,Kick-Ass heroine and a super flawed society. All in all i would give the book an 8/10 or a 4/5
Author:Julie Kagawa Title: Summers Crossing Published June 1st 2011 Publisher:Harlequin Teen
A Midsummer's Nightmare? Robin Goodfellow. Puck. Summer Court prankster, King Oberon's right hand, bane of many a faery queen's existence—and secret friend to Prince Ash of the Winter Court. Until one girl's death came between them, and another girl stole both their hearts.

And Puck faces the ultimate choice—betray Ash and possibly win the girl they both love, or help his former friend turned bitter enemy pull off a deception that no true faery prankster could possibly resist.
An ebook exclusive novella from Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series.
Hello so this is my first review i originality wasn't going to make my first review on a E-bookbut I'm in love with the Iron Fey series. So as soon as i found out about the Iron Fey Novella i searched for it,read it,and wrote the review. There are some spoilers so if you haven't read the previous book i would advise skipping some parts of this review.
Summer's Crossing has an absolutely gorgeous cover. It's green, tying in to the Robin theme. It also vines, which I'm guessing are Julie's favorite thing obviously because they are on every cover. Except, you can tell it's a novella because Meghan isn't on the cover and it has an animal on it. The Summer's Crossing starts right were The Iron Queen left off with Meghan Chase as the Queen of the Iron fey, and her leaving Ash her Winter Prince and Puck the Summer court Prankster behind. At the end Ash is going on a quest to try and find a way for him to be with Meagan.Puck(my Fav)decides to tag along right before they can set out a favor is called this is were Summer's Crossing begins.
Summer's Crossing is told from the POV of Puck which i loved it gives the reader an insight to his mind and how he feels about the Meagan-Ash-& Him situation.Puck always to me felt care free and ,mellow but in Summer's Crossing we see a semi different side of him.Puck has conflicting thoughts though out the Novella on whys he helping Ash his once best friend, now enemy who vowed to kill him.
Since the E-book is only around 57 pages it a relatively short read. This Novella definitely quenched my thirst for the Iron Fey series and will tide me over in till The Iron Knight comes out this fall.I would recommend Summer's Crossing to anyone who loves The Iron Fey series or who like fey in general.
So I'm not going to lie if I'm not at school, out and about with friends,or doing something else then I'm reading.I'm a constant reader so one day after scouring the world wide web looking at a few book blogs i figured i would give it a shot.Weather anyone reads this I'm going to try and put up a steady steam of posts.I hope if anyone does stumble upon my blog you enjoy!
