Title: Tiger Lily
Author:Jodi Lynn Anderson
Before Peter Pan belonged to Wendy, he belonged to the girl with the crow feather in her hair. . . .

Fifteen-year-old Tiger Lily doesn't believe in love stories or happy endings. Then she meets the alluring teenage Peter Pan in the forbidden woods of Neverland and immediately falls under his spell.

Peter is unlike anyone she's ever known. Impetuous and brave, he both scares and enthralls her. As the leader of the Lost Boys, the most fearsome of Neverland's inhabitants, Peter is an unthinkable match for Tiger Lily. Soon, she is risking everything--her family, her future--to be with him. When she is faced with marriage to a terrible man in her own tribe, she must choose between the life she's always known and running away to an uncertain future with Peter.

With enemies threatening to tear them apart, the lovers seem doomed. But it's the arrival of Wendy Darling, an English girl who's everything Tiger Lily is not, that leads Tiger Lily to discover that the most dangerous enemies can live inside even the most loyal and loving heart.

I just recently read this book and i loved it.I'm a sucker for books were minor characters get a chance to shine. This is one book that quickly became one of my favorites for multiple reasons.

One Last Chance To Save Happily Ever After Can a group of heroes, including Goldenhair, Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel, help General Snow White and her dwarven resistance fighters defeat the tyrannical Queen Cinderella? And will they succeed before a war with Wonderland destroys everything? Their only hope to stop Cinderella's quest for power lies with a young girl named Patience Muffet. She carries the fabled shards of Cinderella's glass slippers, as well as the dark secret of who murdered the last of the fairy godmothers.

This story is definetly taking a different twist to Cinderella and all the other fairy tales we've come to know.

Here's just a few books that feature fairy tales in a new light. If you know of  any others comment below or you can share on what your favorite fairytale is.(:

Title:I
nk (The Paper Gods #1)

Author:

Release Date: June 25, 2013

I looked down at the paper, still touching the tip of my shoe. I reached for it, flipping the page over to look.

Scrawls of ink outlined a drawing of a girl lying on a bench.

A sick feeling started to twist in my stomach, like motion sickness.

And then the girl in the drawing turned her head, and her inky eyes glared straight into mine.

On the heels of a family tragedy, the last thing Katie Greene wants to do is move halfway across the world. Stuck with her aunt in Shizuoka, Japan, Katie feels lost. Alone. She doesn’t know the language, she can barely hold a pair of chopsticks, and she can’t seem to get the hang of taking her shoes off whenever she enters a building.

Then there’s gorgeous but aloof Tomohiro, star of the school’s kendo team. How did he really get the scar on his arm? Katie isn’t prepared for the answer. But when she sees the things he draws start moving, there’s no denying the truth: Tomo has a connection to the ancient gods of Japan, and being near Katie is causing his abilities to spiral out of control. If the wrong people notice, they'll both be targets.

Katie never wanted to move to Japan—now she may not make it out of the country alive

Drawings come to life and the underworld...in Japan sounds interesting I  can't wait the release date seems so far.So that's what I'm waiting on.So how about you? Leave a link and let me know. :)

Theme of the day:Military Siblings

Both stories focuses on to teenagers who have to come to terms with the death of an older siblings who was in the military.
So this posts theme of the day focuses on Military Siblings.

Title:In Honor
Author:Jessi Kirby
Honor receives her brother’s last letter from Iraq thee days after learning that he died, and opens it the day his fellow Marines lay the flag over his casket. Its contents are a complete shock:
concert tickets to see Kyra Kelly, her favorite pop star and Finn’s celebrity crush. In his letter, he jokingly charged Honor with the task of telling Kyra Kelly that he was in love with her.

Grief-stricken and determined to grant Finn’s last request, she rushes to leave immediately. But she only gets as far as the driveway before running into Rusty, Finn’s best friend since third grade and his polar opposite. She hasn’t seen him in ages, thanks to a falling out between the two guys, but Rusty is much the same as Honor remembers him: arrogant, stubborn. . . and ruggedly good looking.

Neither one is what the other would ever look for in a road trip partner, but the two of them set off together, on a voyage that makes sense only because it doesn’t.

Cover:The cover to me looks almost like a photograph and you can see the crisp detail to almost everything.Just looking at the cover you get a sense of peace or acceptance i it ties it with the book to me nicely.

My Thoughts:I've wanted to read this book since I first heard about it and I'm glad it was as good as i thought.Despite the topic of the military and a siblings death the story is told in a light refreshing way but still moving and slightly heartbreaking with some humor but not much. This was a sweet story about friendship and about loss and grief, but it took quite a while for me to be fully taken with the charterers. In some way the story seem pretty cliche especially with the road trip, the romantic development but then in others not so much like with the military theme that i haven't seen much of.In Honor is a sweet touching story that is enjoyable if given the chance.3/5

Title:Personal Effects
Author:E.M Kokie
Ever since his brother, T.J., was killed in Iraq, Matt feels like he’s been sleepwalking through life — failing classes, getting into fights, and avoiding his dad’s lectures about following in his brother’s footsteps. T.J.’s gone, but Matt can’t shake the feeling that if only he could get his hands on his brother’s stuff from Iraq, he’d be able to make sense of his death.

But as Matt searches for answers about T.J.’s death, he faces a shocking revelation about T.J.’s life that suggests he may not have known T.J. as well as he thought. What he learns challenges him to stand up to his father, honor his brother’s memory, and take charge of his own life. With compassion, humor, and a compelling narrative voice, E. M. Kokie explores grief, social mores, and self-discovery in a provocative first novel

Cover:The cover features a teenager  sitting on what looks like a park bench. The colors seem faded and it makes Looking at the cover you get the sense that the guy is troubled in some way.
My Thoughts: I pretty much picked up this book on a whim off of the shelf on the library. This story like In Honar is about a teen dealing with a siblings death who died in Iraq. This book is a lot darker then In Honor Matt is a troubled teen that is hurting in wake of his brothers death.Mat has to deal with his father is abusive and overly strict about everything and  a guy who is in to peace a bit to much and pushes Matt too far.I honestly dont kmow what to say about personal Effects with out giving to much away .I will say this though the story is tough to get though only because i felt bad, angry and sad while reading this.By the end i kept wishing Matt would feel happy again and become at least civil with Curtis who's a friend of his brother. This is the type of story you have to be in the mood to read.3/5

Torn

 Title: Torn
Author: Ashley S.Morgan
Isadora Rivers feels trapped. Her small town high school is suffocating her.
Another day of wannabe gangsters, dumb jocks, and Barbie clones, and she'll just lose it.
Her keen emotional sensitivity is to blame. She sees through all of the poser behavior to
the pain and insecurity simmering just below the surface, and it's overwhelming. She feels
like she's literally drowning in other people's emotions.

This same sensitivity, however, makes her a great actress. Suffocating or not, her high school
is one of the top arts schools in the country. Acting is not only her passion, but it also looks
like her way out. If she can just score the lead role in the school play, she might get herself
noticed by a Hollywood agent. But she's got a strong reckless streak, and it keeps getting
her in trouble and jeopardizing her chances.

Riding her bike at top speed, she swerves in front of a car and nearly gets hit. The driver,
Tristan Blake, turns out to be the mysterious new boy at school. He's rebellious, broody,
and wise beyond his years. He's also devastatingly gorgeous. From the moment their
eyes meet, Isadora is irresistibly drawn to him. But as soon as he enters her life, things go
horribly wrong. She begins having disturbing visions full of unimaginable glamour and
unbearable darkness. He knows things about her he shouldn't. And he's somehow so
familiar. As he at turns pulls her close, and then pushes her away, Isadora feels like her
heart is being twisted and torn.

She soon discovers that her whole future is in jeopardy, and her only hope is to stay away
from Tristan. But how can she turn away from the only boy she has ever loved? As a harrowing
event looms closer, one that threatens to rip apart her psyche, Isadora must reach deep inside
herself and find the strength to change her own destiny. But is she strong enough to do it?

Torn is about Isadora and Tristan both meet and it's the classic love at first sight deal.(Or love at first almost  car accident). Isadora is a  hope full, impulsive aspiring actress. Who hopes to one day be famous and move to LA. Tristan is the hot  new guy who look like the perfect bad boy. As soon as they meet sparks fly it's classic Boy meets Girl Girl Loves Boy Boy loves Girl story. With drastic life choices, best friend issues and lots of drama(literary and figuratively) thrown into the mix. After meeting Tristan Isadora is hooked on him. Their relationship is rocking and Isadora can't figure Tristan out. Also she keeps having these weird visions that she can't explain, things have been off with her best fiend Sarah and not to mention Tara is making a move on Tristan.
The charterers in the story are interesting but I’m not really a big fan of Isadora at all. I liked Sarah a lot more and she was only a secondary character I would have liked to see more of her. Or a seen more of Peter who only had one line I think in the whole book. Isadora bothered me especially how she was overcome with such emotion with the crowd in the cafeteria and how single minded she acted. To me she wasn't a very relateable character.

The cover is nice and shows a couple embracing looking at each other and  I think overall, this cover works for the story being told. I'm honestly really not  sure how I feel about this book  usually after a few chapters in I will be completely emerged within a book and I can't want to see what happens next because the story keeps me wanting more. With Torn though I just wanted to get to the end and be done with the whole thing. It really wasn't my cup of tea but with that being said I think other might find it enjoyable if they give it a shot.2/5

Title: Revenge of the Girl with a Great Personality.
Author: Elizabeth Eulberg
Release Date: March 1st 2013

Don't mess with a girl with a Great Personality.

Everybody loves Lexi. She's popular, smart, funny...but she's never been one of those girls, the pretty ones who get all the attention from guys. And on top of that, her seven-year-old sister, Mackenzie, is a terror in a tiara, and part of a pageant scene where she gets praised for her beauty (with the help of fake hair and tons of makeup).

Lexi's sick of it. She's sick of being the girl who hears about kisses instead of getting them. She's sick of being ignored by her longtime crush, Logan. She's sick of being taken for granted by her pageant-obsessed mom. And she's sick of having all her family's money wasted on a phony pursuit of perfection.

The time has come for Lexi to step out from the sidelines. Girls without great personalities aren't going to know what hit them. Because Lexi's going to play the beauty game - and she's in it to win it

Typical story about the wallflower that's about to leave the wall i can't wait!
So that's what I'm waiting on.So how about you? Leave a link and let me know. :)
